Prof Nike Yetunde Sidiqat Ijaiya is a Professor of Educational Management at the University of Ilorin, Ilorin, Nigeria and the current Deputy Vice-Chancellor (Academic). She attended Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria, where she graduated with B. A. Ed, History in 1976. Her Master and Ph.D degrees were obtained at the University College, Cardiff, UK in 1984 and 1988 in Educational Psychology and Educational Supervision respectively.
She has served in various leadership capacities including Head of Department of Educational Management, Director of the Institute of Education for Sandwich programmes, and chairman of various committees. She is currently a member of the Governing Council of the University of Ilorin and Al-Hikman University, Ilorin, Nigeria.
She teaches courses in Educational supervision and quality assurance, managerial behaviour, leadership, research methodology, in addition to supervision of Undergraduate, Master and Ph.D students.
She has served the Kwara State Government in various capacities including member of the Independent Monitoring Team for Kwara State World Bank assisted Teacher Development Project (TPD) in 2008/2009; Lead Person, Kwara State Early Childhood Education and Development Committee, (ECCD) 2009 to 2011. She has also been engaged as Short Term Consultant, SABER Early Childhood Development (ECD) System Analysis and Benchmarking exercise, for the World Bank, 2012.
She has several publications in reputable journals, national and international, to her credit. Prof Ijaiya is a Fellow of the Nigeria Association of Educational Administration and Planning (NAEAP) and Association of Educational Researchers and Evaluators of Nigeria (ASSEREN).
