A randy pastor who reportedly impregnated a married woman while praying for her n*ked in Ondo state has landed in serious trouble.
A Christ Apostolic Church who reportedly impregnated a married woman while praying for her in Ondo state, Pastor Mathew Olakunle has been expelled from the church.
Olakunle, who headed a branch of the CAC in Iju town in the Akure North Local Government Area of Ondo State had used cunny means to have s*x with Mrs. Omotola Akerele in the mission house.
It was gathered that he was in the habit of praying for women in the church n*ked. Punch reported that a member of the board of the church who preferred to be anonymous because he was not authorized to speak on the matter, disclosed on Tuesday that the church had already expelled Pastor Mathew following the ugly incident.
He said the incumbent General Overseer of the church, Pastor Paul Obadare would soon come out and say the position of the church on the matter.
He said, “Immediately after the incident occurred and the church knew about it, he (Mathew) was transferred out of the town to our church in Ilorin, but I want to confirm to you that he has been expelled.
“The leader of the church, Pastor Paul Obadare is not around now and I am sure he would have been informed about the incident, when he comes around, then he will address the press to tell the world about the step the church had taken on the matter. But I am sure the pastor has been expelled.”

Some properties alleged to have been corruptly obtained by a former Minister of Petroleum who is battling with cancer has been temporarily forfeited to the government.
The Justice Abdulaziz Anka of the Federal High Court sitting in Lagos, Tuesday, ordered the interim forfeiture of another set of assets valued at $16,441,906 allegedly linked to the former Minister of Petroleum, Mrs. Diezani Alison-Madueke.
This was made known by the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, EFCC.

What Buhari Said On IPOB Secret Service During Aso Rock Meeting With Security Service Chiefs – CDS


The Nigeria’s chief of defence staff has told reporters on Tuesday that the secret service of the IPOB was among the top issues discussed during a security council meeting with the president.
It was reported earlier today that President Muhammadu Buhari, met with Service Chiefs in his office at his official residence, in the Presidential Villa, Abuja for a national security council meeting.
Some of those in attendance include the Chief of Defence, Gen. Gabriel Olonishakin, Chief of Army Staff, Lt. Gen. Tukur Buratai, Chief of Air Staff, Air Marshal Sadique Abubakar, Chief of the Naval Staff, Vice Admiral Ibot-Ete Ibas.
While speaking to correspondents after the high profile security meeting, the chief of defence staff, Abayomi Olonisakin, revealed that the secret service of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) was among the issues discussed at the meeting.
Speaking further on the meeting, which lasted for three hours, Olonisakin said the service chiefs updated the president on developments that arose during his medical vacation in the United Kingdom, and listed the Boko Haram crisis, clash between farmers and herdsmen and kidnapping as some the areas that were touched at the meeting.
He said; “We have been meeting with Mr President for the last three hours. We updated him on all security issues around the country, within the country and outside the country, where our troops are.
“Of course, we have just updated him because he is aware of what’s been happening. He has been receiving regular briefings from the acting president and he has also been going through the print media and electronic media to follow the happenings in the country.
“After the meeting, he has directed on some areas we should look at so as to enhance our operations in the country.”
When asked what Buhari said about IPOB secret service, Olonisakin said: “The issues of security, every security threat, all security threats were treated one after the other ranging from terrorism to kidnapping, herdsmen/farmers clash, to IPOB issue.”
Olonisakin said Buhari had directed security agencies to ensure that the unity of the country is preserved. “In his address to the nation, he talked about the unity of the nation which is non-negotiable. We have all been fully instructed to ensure that that directive is carried out to the letter,” he said.
“We are going to enhance our operations in all the areas we need to do that. Like I said, he has given the necessary directives which will be carried out by the military and the security agencies.”

Lautech To Open In A Few Days’- Pro-Chancellor Confirms

The new Pro-Chancellor and Chairman, Governing Council of the Ladoke Akintola University of Technology (LAUTECH) Ogbomoso, Prof. Oladapo Afolabi, has announced that the university will re-open in some days’ time.
Afolabi, at a press conference in Osogbo Monday, alongside other new members of the Governing Council of the institution, disclosed that the new council was close to finding a lasting solution to the problems that have kept the university shut down for a little over a year.
LAUTECH’s vice-chancellor, Prof. Adeniyi Gbadegesin and other principal officers of the university as well as members of the Governing Council including Prof. Lai Olurode, were present at the press conference.
Afolabi said: “We had our inaugural meeting at the main campus in Ogbomoso on August 9, 2017, and charted for ourselves a 90-day action plan which has started in earnest. For instance, consultations have been held with the various unions, parent forum and traditional rulers.
“We have also engaged the auditing firm, KPMG, and as I address you here, I make bold to inform you that we are expecting an interim report from the firm in a matter of days. It is this report we will be presenting to the visitors to the university. We have high hope that submission of this relief would go a long way in midwife get a lasting solution to the problems of LAUTECH.
“From various interactions of the council with the diverse stakeholders, we have realized that we are on the same page, working towards the same goal, which is that. The Council should spare no efforts to get the university reopen for students to continue with their studies and move on with their academic pursuit. The students have pledged their cooperation to abide by any decision taken if that would make the university to work again.”

SHOCKING!! Nigerian Woman Arrested For Allegedly Killing Boyfriend In India

The Police in India have arrested a Nigerian woman identified as Evelyn Uzodinma over the death of her boyfriend, Godfrey Izzu Chibueze.
Evelyn on Saturday afternoon allegedly stabbed 30 year Godfrey, during a quarrel outside their house in West Delhi, after which she then rushed him to a hospital where he died of excessive bleeding.
The suspect was taken into custody at the hospital.
According to hindustantimes, the pair were known to quarrel often; they both lived together at a rented house in Uttam Nagar’s D block.
Chibueze ran a garments business, and Evelyn operated a food stall.
Investigations revealed that the couple had a fight around 2 p.m. on Saturday before Godfrey’s death.
Neighbours also told police they saw the couple fighting and punching each other.
An unidentified police officer said during the fight, the woman picked up a kitchen knife and stabbed Chibueze on his left hand, causing him to bleed excessively.
Police have registered a murder case against Evelyn while awaiting for an autopsy report for further clarity on Chibueze’s death.

Federal government is in trouble again as SSANU, NASU, NAT meet on nationwide strike tomorrow

Three major non-academic staff unions will decide tomorrow whether to join the strike by university lecturers.

The Senior Staff Association of Nigerian Universities, SSANU, according to online portal, Premium Times, will meet with the Non-Academic Staff Union of Universities, NASU, and the Non-Academic Technicians, NAT, in Abuja to decide on whether to join the ongoing industrial action by the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU.

Abdulsubur Salaam, the National Public Relations Officer of SSANU, said during an interview weekend, that the associations have been “pushed to the wall” by the federal government.

He said: “The federal government has been discussing with the academics but we have been reaching out to them before now and they have refused to heed our call.

“The issue of staff school that is being negotiated and we are not carried along was agreed on by the four unions in Nigerian varsities; our earned allowances have not been paid too and branches are really heaping pressure on us, especially on the staff school issue.”

“So full blown strike may be inevitable as at now. However, we would take that meeting on Wednesday and make a decision on this there.”

ASUU had embarked on a nationwide strike last Monday over demands for improved funding of universities and welfare of lecturers.

A meeting between the union and the federal government last Thursday, ended in deadlock.

But an optimistic Adamu Adamu, the Education Minister, said the strike could be called off within one week.

Nigeria Indigenous rapper, Olamide Adedeji may be at risk of a N3 million fine and one-year jail term for promoting the use of tobacco in his recently released video, ‘Wo’. According to Dailypost.
The federal ministry of health had notified the public that the rapper had violated the 2015 tobacco act, warning that the video had “dangerous public health content”.
The ministry wrote on Twitter,
“The public is informed of the dangerous public health content & violation of Tobacco Control Act 2015 in “Wo” by @olamide_YBNL#ClearTheAir.‎
“The content & video contains scenes that violate the ban on Tobacco Advertising, Promotion & Sponsorship provision of the act #ClearTheAir.”
The 28-year-old rapper, who is signed to his own record label, YBNL, had returned to Ladi Lak in Bariga where he was raised to shoot the video of his latest single.
According to the 2015 Tobacco Control Act, it is prohibited to promote or advertise tobacco or tobacco products except between a manufacturer, retailer and consenting persons above 18 years of age.
“No person shall promote or advertise tobacco or tobacco products in any form.
“No person shall engage or participate in any tobacco advertising, promotion or sponsorship as a media or event organizer, celebrity or other participant,” it read.
According to the 2015 law, anyone who violates the law faces the risk of a fine and jail term of not more than one year.
Person that produces or publishes advertising, promotion or sponsorship content shall attract a fine of not less than N3,000,000 and a term of imprisonment of not more than one year.

ASUU IS AT IT AGAIN: We’ve not called off strike, still consulting

NATIONAL leadership of Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, yesterday, said it was not true that the indefinite strike declared last week had been called off.

There was a report, weekend, that the strike had been suspended after the Federal Government representatives led by Minister of Labour and Employment, Senator Chris Ngige, and Minister of Education, Malam Adamu Adamu, met with the leadership of the union in Abuja, Wednesday.

But the National President of ASUU, Prof. Biodun Ogunyemi, told Vanguard on telephone, yesterday, that there was no truth in the alleged suspension of the strike.

Instead, he said the union was still consulting with the relevant stakeholders on the outcome of the meeting it had with government representatives.

Asked when the union would meet again with government and when the National Executive Council, NEC, of ASUU would meet to take final decision, Ogunyemi said for now he was not aware of when to meet with government representatives and that it was after consultation that the NEC would meet.

Vanguard reliably gathered that the principal officers of ASUU, including zonal officers, met on Saturday at the union’s secretariat Gwagwalada to review the meeting with government representatives and the offer so far made by government.

A source within the union said it was not possible for the national executive to call off strike without consulting the zonal and branch executives which will meet to get mandate from members before taking any decision.

Recall that ASUU declared indefinite strike on Monday last week over contentious issues with the Federal Government which included the non implementation of the 2009 agreement the union and the government entered into.

The story has been told of a ‘demonic’ doll which inspired a horror movie after it terrorized flatmates and caused the death of a man.
Horror movie fans have been flocking to the cinema to watch Annabelle: Creation, the fourth instalment of The Conjuring which focuses on the possessed porcelain doll.
But the true story behind the creepy flick is even stranger than the fiction.
The original doll, which is now locked up Ed and Lorraine Warrens’ Occult Museum in Monroe, Connecticut, was said to have unleashed a reign of terror on a group of flatmates in a chain of events that ended in a man’s death.
The rag doll, with huge black eyes, is very different from the film’s china doll but her story is just as terrifying.
Lorraine Warren said: “Looks are deceiving.
“It’s not what the doll looks like that makes it scary. It is what has been infused within the doll. Evil.”
Annabelle’s chilling story began in 1970 when a mum bought the doll from a hobby shop for her daughter, student nurse Donna, as a birthday gift.
Donna took the doll back to the flat she shared with her friend Angie and soon began to notice small hand movements, which they explained away.
The doll then began to move around the flat, appearing outside Angie’s room after being placed on Donna’s bed.
Then things took an even more sinister twist.
The girls’ close friend, Lou, became very nervous around the doll, believing it to be possessed, but the girls dismissed his fears.
Then notes written on parchment paper, reading “Help us” and “Help Lou” in a child’s handwriting, began to appear around the flat.
The girls finally called in a medium, after Donna came home from work to find the doll had “blood” on her hands.
Annabelle was on her usual spot on the bed but red liquid was seeping from her hands.
After holding a séance the medium claimed the apartment was built on the site of a field, where a dead seven-year-old girl called Annabelle Higgins had been found many years before.
When the doll was brought to the apartment Annabelle’s spirit was apparently in the area and she became fond of the doll, opting to possess it.
The girls kept the doll, feeling sorry for the real Annabelle, but before long Lou was attacked, it is claimed.
One night he woke from a deep sleep and instantly felt panicked. He’d had a recurring bad dream, but this time he felt he was awake, and unable to move.
He looked to the end of the bed and saw the doll slowly gliding up his leg and moving to his chest, where it stopped.
Then she put her hands round his neck and tried to STRANGLE him.
Lou says he blacked out and awoke the next morning, unsure whether it was a dream or reality.
But the next day, he was in Angie’s room looking at some maps when they heard a noise in Donna’s room, even though Donna wasn’t home.
Lou looked in and saw Annabelle was sitting on the chair instead of the bed where she was normally placed.
As he moved towards the doll, he felt as if someone was behind him, then a crippling feeling took over his body and claw marks appeared on his body, as if someone had scratched him.
There were seven marks in total: three vertically, four horizontally, all searing hot.
The visible scratches disappeared without trace within two days.
Spooked, Donna called in an Episcopal priest named Father Hegan, who suggested they contacted occult experts Ed and Lorraine Warren.
The couple told the girls the doll being manipulated by an “inhuman demonic spirit”.

The apartment was “cleansed” by Ed, using a special Episcopal blessing and the couple took the doll away and housed it in their museum.
Ed later claimed the doll willed the car’s brakes and steering to fail, before he stopped it by throwing holy water on it.
At his home, he said the doll began to levitate, as well as moving around the house.
A visiting priest, seeing the doll in the chair, picked it up and said: “You’re just a rag doll Annabelle, you can’t hurt anyone,” before tossing her aside.
Appalled Ed told him: “That’s the one thing you better not say!”
A few hours after the priest left he rang the Warrens, claiming his brakes had failed as he turned on to a busy road.
He’d been in an accident, his car was written off and was lucky to have survived.
Worried, the Warrens moved the rag doll in to a glass box at their museum, secured with a special set of prayers and she is still there.
“We have a priest come in and bless the museum, including Annabelle,” said Lorraine.
“These are prayers that bind the evil — much like an electric fence for a dog.”
But it didn’t end there.
Lorraine Warren has since warned what happens when Annabelle is mocked.
One man visiting the museum, began bashing on Annabelle’s case, calling on her to scratch him if she was real.
Ed threw him out but later heard from his girlfriend.
Lorraine recalled: “[The girlfriend] told us that they were both laughing and joking about the doll when the young man lost control of the bike and crashed head-on into a tree.”
He was killed instantly and his girlfriend was in hospital for a year.
Ed Warren died in 2006 and Lorraine says she can’t look at the doll because it’s the “worst thing in the whole Museum.”

To be a Nigeria President is not easy: Issues before Buhari

President Muhammadu Buhari returned to the country on Saturday to the joyful embrace of a relieved nation and a thunderous welcoming ceremony.

However, the ecstasy of the reception should in no way becloud the president to the difficult issues that await him. The president would, however, be helped if he rides on the thrill of the joyful reception to address the many thorns that have solidified on his in-tray.

North-South Tension: A divided nation
Undoubtedly the greatest challenge facing the president would be a response to the agitation in the country for restructuring as represented by the quit notice to the Igbo in the North and the reciprocal quit notice issued by Niger Delta militants to the Hausa Fulani in the Niger Delta.

President Buhari as a war time military officer and subsequently as a general who in the early eighties suppressed an Islamic uprising in the Northeast would be expected to toe the line of keeping the country united.

However, given the fact that his appointments helped to stoke claims of marginalisation, focus would be on how the president carries out the series of appointments awaiting him. Would the Southeast which has cried out over being left out from the Buhari government get a relief?


NIA/SGF – Drawing the Curtain
Vice-President Yemi Osinbajo was the head of the three-man committee that also had the Attorney General of the Federation, Abubakar Malami and the National Security Adviser, Babagana Monguno which was mandated by the president to probe allegations of financial irregularities raised against the Secretary to the Government of the Federation, SGF, Babachir Lawal. The same committee was also mandated to investigate circumstances behind the discovery of an estimated N13 billion cash in foreign currency belonging to the Nigerian Intelligence Agency, NIA in an Ikoyi safe house.

The committee was expected to have submitted the report to the president on May 8, but the president hurriedly left the country just before the deadline given to the committee.

The NIA DG, Ambassador Ayodele Oke, and Mr. Lawal have been on suspension since April. Given the significant roles of the SGF in the coordination of government policies and programmes and the equally significant role of the NIA in the security architecture of the government, it is expected that the president on resumption would immediately draw a curtain on the issues around the NIA/SGF on resumption.


NATIONAL ASSEMBLY – No love lost
Speaker Yakubu Dogara and Senate President Bukola Saraki visited the president at least twice during his latest stay in the United Kingdom. However, that does not in any way reflect a warmth in the relationship between the two arms of government.

Indeed, while the president was away, the Senate vowed not to consider memos from the presidency and turned away some nominations made by the Acting President.

The crisis was not helped by an alleged instruction from the Acting President to nominees to the Independent Corrupt Practises and other related offences Commission, ICPC, the Nigerian Pension Commission, PenCom and Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB to resume office even though their nominations had not been confirmed by the Senate.

The Senate had refused to consider the nominations and gone on recess extending the wait by the nominees and the government.

“We will advise the Acting President who was quoted to have given the directive for the resumption of the nominees that the directive was illegal and not right.

“The Senate will not support any action that is not in line with the law.

“We advise the nominees to hold on until they are cleared by the Senate as required by the law before resuming in their respective offices.

“We do not want anything that will cause problem between the executive and the legislature,” Senate spokesman, Senator Aliyu Abdullahi was quoted as saying in a statement last weekend.


APC – Unravelling
To the embarrassment of members of the president’s party, the All Progressives Congress, APC, their party has become a sort of laughing stock with allegations of incoherence in policies and strategies.

At the recent convention of the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, in Abuja, Chief Tom Ikimi, ironically chairman of the merger committee of the APC, taunted his former party for its inability to host its long delayed national convention or even to inaugurate its Board of Trustees, BoT.

The APC is undeniably enmeshed in a crisis of identity given the antipathy of some of its leading members to one another.

President Buhari who had been the unifying factor in the party if he is up to it physically is expected to provide the leadership that could pull the party out of its doldrums.

The necessity of the APC unifying would not be lost on the president as his agenda and long time legacy could be imperiled if he is unable to win or project a successor in 2019.


THE CABINET AND CABAL – Fresh legs
As the president went on his medical leave and his seemingly average performance in office began to ricochet against his once unassailable persona, questions began to arise over the makeup of the cabinet and indeed the inner circle.

Days before he left, speculations that the president was about to take control of his government from those he had seemingly delegated authority to, to wit, that is the famed cabal, began to reverberate.

Some allege that it was on account of a planned cabinet shakeup that portfolios were not assigned to the two ministers that were screened just before his departure but who were left without a portfolio. The two ministers were last week assigned their portfolios following mutterings across the polity that Acting President Yemi Osinbajo was only a figurehead who lacked real authority.


THE PRESIDENT’S HEALTH – The right to know
When the president speaks to the nation, critical-minded Nigerians would be looking up to the president to speak up on what took him away from the millions of Nigerians who voted him to the office a little over two years ago.

Given the embarrassment of contradicting his own stance against foreign medical tourism, many Nigerians would want to be assured that only a very critical reason justified the president’s resort to the United Kingdom for 104 days.


BOKO HARAM REVIVAL – Defeat order was given two years ago

Just a little over two years ago on August 13, 2015, the president gave the service chiefs a three-month deadline to defeat Boko Haram, the Islamist militant group that had scourged much of the Northeast and the North.

Three months later, the government information system pronounced the terrorist group to have been technically defeated.

However, despite the claim of victory, much of Borno State had remained largely unsafe with only the state capital, Maiduguri as a relatively safe enclosure.

However, two years after the marching order even Maiduguri has been faced with numerous attacks staged by the insurgents with the University of Maiduguri, a fancy spot for the insurgents.

Presently some academics involved in the exploration of oil in the Chad Basin were recently kidnapped by the terrorists.

The president’s return would give the Commander-in-Chief to propound fresh strategies to sufficiently defeat the insurgents.
